Consultancies

My motivation and experience in carrying out consultancies originate from the view that it is necessary to translate international conventions and agreements into practical windows of opportunity. Little steps can lead to structural improvements, if they are well-thought-out with clear objectives. In carrying out my assignments I rely on both my knowledge and my motivation. My contributions to the work of human rights organisations, or institutions that are decisive in human rights performance always are in line with the wishes of my counterparts, since I know that, without that, they will remain fruitless. Change comes from within. From the outside, I can only support and open windows.

I have over 30 years of professional experience related to human rights, human rights organizations and international cooperation. I hold extensive knowledge and skills in the fields of:

    • International Human Rights protection mechanisms
    • Human Rights Impact Assessment,
    • Strategy development,
    • Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation (PM&E) systems
    • Knowledge of the Indonesian human rights situation
    • Capacity building activities and training
    • Lobby and advocacy
    • Facilitation skills
    • Networking: NGO’s, academic relations, victims’ organizations
